Tuesday Night Meet & Greet

In conjunction with this year's conference, KWEA plans, as last year, a special night of entertainment for conference attendees. This year's Tuesday evening Meet & Greet will be held at the Rooster Tail in Topeka.

This year attendees will be entertained KWEA's rock band Greywater who are in their fifth year together and are sounding better than ever. Also planned for the evening will be a special induction into the Select Society of Sanitary Sludge Shovelers.

Barbeque will be provided by Nathan Chappell of Chappell's Backyard Barbeque and Catering. Chappell has won many competitions in the Midwest, and you will not be disappointed. Refreshments will be provided by a host of generous supporters.

We invite you and your spouse to an enjoyable evening of great BBQ, camaraderie, dancing and great music of the past. Food and beverages will be available throughout the evening courtesy of KWEA, KsAWWA and our generous sponsors.

Please join us at the Rooster Tail on Tuesday, August 30 between the hours of 7:00 p.m. and 11:00 p.m. and be a part of this memorable event.

Water For People Fundraising Auction

Around the world, 1.1 billion people do not have access to safe drinking water, and 2.6 billion are without adequate sanitation facilities. Every day, nearly 6,000 people who share our planet die from water-related illnesses, and the vast majority are children. Water For People helps people in developing countries improve their quality of life by supporting the development of locally sustainable drinking water resources, sanitation facilites, and health and hygiene education programs.

The KsAWWA & KWEA Water for People Committees will offer donation items for auction during the conference. One hundred percent of the funds will go directly to Water For People.

If you would like information on donating items for the auction or information about financial donations, please download our information sheet (PDF).
